White American's may become a Minority

http://cbs4.com/national/whites.minority.status.2.1550229.html

An intersting article on the census and how white's may become the minority race in the upcoming year.

~Holly Bartow

Along with the issue of the census, this is an article that juxtaposes the idea of immigration along with the horrific nature of the earthquake in Haiti. It explores how we have taken action against "undocumented" Haitians' who have fled Haiti, but do nothing against those from Cuba just because of the political situation between Cuba and the US. An interesting piece.

http://www.justnews.com/news/22718876/detail.html

Just a cool article on Arizona that popped up on a Miami newspaper.

"The proposal would make Arizona the only state to criminalize the presence of illegal immigrants through an expansion of its trespassing law. It also would require police to try to determine people's immigration status when there's reasonable suspicion they are in the country illegally. An estimated 460,000 illegal immigrants live in the state."

A new poll found that there is little clamor for change in the U.S. embargo on Cuba.

Forty percent of Americans say the Cuba embargo should remain in place while 36 percent want it ended, and nearly half say they wouldn't visit the island even if allowed, according to a BBC/Harris Poll released Tuesday.

Cuban Exile’s Plan for a Ferry From Miami to Havana Is Awaiting U.S. Approval

MIAMI — Imagine a ferry from Miami to Havana that costs far less than a flight. Cuban-Americans, who can now visit the island without restriction, could eat lechón on deck, then deliver a shipping container of food to needy relatives by morning.
